Born in 1988, Milena is a manager in culture and freelance artist.

Milena holds a Master degree at UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Management in Belgrade (Interculturalism and Mediation in the Balkans), interdisciplinary master study program organized in cooperation with the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (France). Within the Association of Ballet Artist of Serbia she holds the status of an independent artist.

Since 2012, after finishing her master studies and conducting her thesis - New Forms of Children's Theatre – Recommendations for Belgrade theatres Little Theatre Duško Radović and Boško Buha, Milena started her devoted carrier as a researcher and worker in culture. Her professional experience in institutional and NGO sector gave her broad and vivid knowledge which she likes to develop constantly, and contribute to both artistic and cultural scene in Serbia and globally.

Milena discovered her life passion for working with children and youth. She is devoted to building their self-awareness, independence, and critical thinking. She holds rich experience as a trainer in the Erasmus+ program that supports education, training, youth, and sport in Europe.

Since 2014, Milena is active in the association Station Service for Contemporary Dance in Belgrade, a bottom-up initiative of the contemporary dance and performing arts community in Serbia. In this context, she worked as a performer, dance educator, and choreographer and often collaborated with young people and children from marginalized groups. Being engaged in the development of preschool art education, Milena started focusing on projects in which she creates for children and works with children in the context of performing arts and contemporary dance with attention to interactive and participatory practices (Milena is coordinator of the GENERATOR project initiated by Station - Service for Contemporary Dance; Milena is author of the contemporary children dance performance “Under the surface”- a project of alternative performing arts for and with children; As a dance pedagogue she co-implements "Training for Creative Movement and Dance" dedicated to preschool teachers, professors, and pedagogues). 

Milena is a founder and cultural manager of the Association of Jazz and Modern Dance Admirers, Dance Studio DANCE BUZZ in Belgrade where currently, as project manager and as an Erasmus+ partner organization, she implements projects for youth in Europe and contributes to their mobility and knowledge.
