Jolyane Langlois is a dance artist and lives in Vienna. Born in Canada, she began her dance training at the Université du Québec à Montréal and completed the professional dance program at the School of Toronto Dance Theater in 2012.
She worked for the renowned Canadian company Dancemakers for two years. Separately, she has performed and developed works with Amanda Acorn, Allison Cummings, Jennifer Dallas, Catherine Gaudet, Emmanuel Jouthe, Eroca Nicols, Social Growl Dance (Riley Sims), and many others. She enjoys collaborating with the visual artist Maria Flawia Litwin on invigorating gallery exhibitions. She also danced for Antony Hamilton (Australia), Doris Uhlich (Austria) and Brendan Fernandes (New York).
Jolyane regularly tours international with the dance theater group Corpus and creates works as part of Open Fortress, an all-female dance collective in Toronto that focuses on haunting site-specific performances. Her most recent collaborations in Vienna include works for the Sound Manifests 2019 with Daphna Horenzcky and Stefan Volsinger, performances for Barbis Ruder in Barbis in Babeland and dance with 200 dancers in Habitat by Doris Uhlich. Jolyane received the 2020 training grant from Tanzquartier Wien and is currently completing a Yamuna Body Rolling training and Kundalini Yoga training.
